Frequently Asked Questions
Is Red good ammo in Tarkov?
It ranks #2 of 7 26x75 Flare rounds by penetration (0 pen, tier F) with 37 damage. Rankings update with live tarkov.dev data.
What armor does Red penetrate?
With 0 penetration it is for unarmored targets; it will not reliably beat any armor class. As a rule of thumb, a round needs about 10 more penetration than an armor's class x 10 to punch through consistently; the class-by-class chart on this page shows each matchup.
Where can you buy Red?
No trader sells it for cash and it is not on the flea market, so it comes from raids, barters, or crafts.
