How to Unlock Kappa
Kappa is the reward for finishing Collector, Fence's final quest. It is no longer a "complete every quest in the game" grind: what gates it now is trader loyalty, Scav karma, and a short chain of prerequisite quests.
- Level 42 to receive Collector.
- Scav karma of at least +3 with Fence.
- Loyalty level 4 with 7 traders: Therapist, Prapor, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Jaeger, Skier, Ragman.
- Complete 5 prerequisite quests: Shooter Born in Heaven, Sew it Good - Part 2, Postman Pat - Part 2, Chemical - Part 3, The Tarkov Shooter - Part 4.
- Hand in all 44 Collector items, every one found in raid.
13 quests are flagged as Kappa-required in the live game data, which includes the prerequisite chain behind the quests listed above.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do you need for the Kappa container in Tarkov?
Kappa is the reward for completing Collector, Fence's final quest. You need to be level 42, Scav karma of at least +3, loyalty level 4 with Therapist, Prapor, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Jaeger, Skier, Ragman, and to finish Shooter Born in Heaven, Sew it Good - Part 2, Postman Pat - Part 2, Chemical - Part 3, The Tarkov Shooter - Part 4. Then hand in all 44 Collector items, every one found in raid.
Do you still have to complete every quest for Kappa?
No. Kappa used to mean clearing essentially the whole quest list, but the requirements were reworked and it is now gated on trader loyalty, Scav karma and a short prerequisite chain instead. 13 quests carry the Kappa-required flag in the live game data, counting that chain. The bigger time sink for most players is trader loyalty and the 44 found-in-raid items.
How many Collector items are there?
44. Every one has to be found in raid, so items bought off the flea market do not count. Use the checklist on this page to track which ones you still need.
What level do you need for Kappa?
Collector unlocks at level 42, so that is the effective level requirement for Kappa. In practice the trader loyalty requirements take longer than the level does.
