Reading the chart

Ricochet High can bounce shots that would otherwise kill you. Deafening is how much the helmet muffles your ears, and Headset shows whether you can wear ears with it: the heavy Blocked helmets have to rely on their own hearing. Pair an OK helmet with a headset from the headset guide.

What is the best helmet in Tarkov?

By protection class and effective durability, the current top helmet is the Rys-T assault helmet (Black) (Class 5). Heavy helmets trade hearing and mobility for that protection though, so many players prefer a Class 4 high-cut with a headset instead.

What does ricochet chance do in Tarkov?

Helmets with a High ricochet rating can deflect rounds that hit at an angle, taking little or no durability damage and saving your life. Rounded steel helmets ricochet best; flat-faced or fabric headgear barely deflects anything.
