Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Flare used for in Tarkov?
It is grenade launcher that rides in your special slots, costing no inventory space and surviving death. Most items in this category exist for specific quests or navigation; check the task guides for any quest that names it.
How much does the Flare cost?
It currently runs about ₽20,698 (flea market 24h average). Prices update with live tarkov.dev data.
Do special slot items survive death?
Yes. Like the secure container and melee slot, special-slot contents are kept when you die, which is why quest markers and cameras belong there instead of in a backpack.
