Tarkov PVE Prestige 2026: Requirements, Rewards and What You Keep
Patch 1.2.0.0 (October 6, 2026) added the Prestige system to PVE Zone. Until now Prestige was a PVP-only mechanic. PVE players can now reset their character for a set of unique rewards and start the climb again with part of their progression intact.
This post sticks to what Battlestate has published in the patch notes. The exact numbers for each level live on the Prestige screen in your own client, and they get tougher with every level, so check them in game before you commit.
What Prestige Is
Prestige is an end-game reset for high-level players. You meet a list of requirements, you Prestige, and your PVE Zone profile starts over with a set of permanent rewards. Patch 1.2.0.0 ships six PVE Prestige levels, and the requirements grow with each one.
The first PVE Prestige level has reduced requirements compared with PVP. Battlestate has said this directly, so if you were put off by the PVP version, the PVE one is a shorter road.
What the Requirements Look Like
The patch notes list the kinds of requirements a Prestige level can ask for:
- A high character level
- Completing certain in-game tasks
- Building certain Hideout zones
- Finishing the main storyline
- Holding certain items and a set amount of money in your stash
- Leveling character skills
Not every level uses every item on that list, and the thresholds are not in the notes. Open the Prestige screen on your PVE character to see the live checklist for your next level.
What Resets and What You Keep
Prestige resets your profile progression in PVE Zone only. Your PVP and PVP Seasons characters are untouched.
When you Prestige you can retain:
- Some of your gear
- A percentage of your character skills, up to 50%
- A percentage of your weapon mastery, up to 50%
Everything else starts fresh: level, quests, hideout, stash contents beyond what you keep, and trader standing.
The Rewards
Many Prestige rewards stay with you permanently, but only on your PVE Zone character. A second group of rewards can only be earned by Prestiging in PVE Zone but then shows up in every mode:
- TarCoins
- Unique dogtags
- Unique shooting range targets
- Unique Hideout posters
- Unique melee weapons
- Unique Tarko figurines
- A unique Gamma secure container
That last group is the reason PVP-focused players might run a PVE Prestige: the cosmetics and the container carry across.
Players Who Never Reset
There is a special case in the notes. Any player who has not reset their progression since the release of Escape from Tarkov can now do so through Prestige. Those players get the Prestige rewards and also unlock the release content, the storyline, the Icebreaker chapter and all future events. If you have been sitting on a pre-release PVE profile, this is the path forward.
How to Prepare
- Finish the storyline first if your target level asks for it. Our Story Guide walks every chapter and ending
- Check which hideout stations a level wants before you spend on the rest. The Hideout tracker shows every station's full requirement list
- Keep the quest requirements in view with the Quests page set to your PVE profile
- Bank the roubles and the required items before you start the final push, since the stash check is part of the gate
Tracking a Prestige on TarkovForge
TarkovForge keeps separate PVP, PVE and Seasonal profiles. After you Prestige, open Settings, make sure your PVE profile is the active one, and use Reset PVE Progress. That wipes only the PVE character on the tracker and leaves your PVP and Seasonal progress exactly as it was, which matches what the game does.
We will update this post as the per-level requirements become clear.
